In this scenery I have added some GA parking spots and static planes, static elements, hangars, fence and night lighting. To my knowledge, this airport doesn’t have runway lights. There are no custom buildings in this scenery, I only used buildings curently available in the SDK. Drumheller Alberta CEG4 v1.0
Drumheller municipal airport is a small field in central Alberta about 52 nm northwest of Calgary. It has a paved 3500 foot runway with low intensity edge lighting and published RNAV approaches. Drumheller is a spot in the province where the topography all of a sudden changes following the Red Deer River to the southeast. This was an area known as the Alberta badlands and was home to a few species of dinosaur including a Tyranasaur. There is a very well-known international museum called the Royal Tyrell Museum located here focusing on paleontology. This area of central Alberta can be extremely hot during the summer months producingthe occasional thunderstorm build-up and sometimes hail. My second project for FS2020, using my Airports of Norway gmax models. Thanks to the Norway Airports team for the ILS shack and rubbhall hangar. Everything at the airport is renewed, adjusted and repainted, according to AIP Norway. Take note the approach lights spacing is shortened from 30m to 20m, as I still do not have the correct approach lights to select for short runways. Also there is only one parking. This is to get rid of the pushback equipment and people, a tip from FSdeveloper. I hope the SDK will improve in time so this can be fixed. This airport does not have a renamed model library, as this gives me a lot of red lines in the Console when compiling. I believe there is no problem with the libs, as long as I take care to not have the same name and GUID for the same model used in one of my other sceneries, which is true for the ils shack and rubbhall, also used in my ENCN scenery. In this scenery I have added some GA parking spots and static planes, static elements, hangars and night lighting. I made the assumtion that the airports has runway lights, so I added them. There are no custom buildings in this scenery, I only used buildings curently available in the SDK. Version 1.2 tries to fix the texture problem on the ground. Installation instructions: Please remove the previous version of the scenery, then unzip and copy “Airport CNV9 Neuville-v1.2” folder in your MSFS Community folder. HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO ho ho ho ho, haaappppy Christmas… nearly. Yeah, I know it is rather too early to be doling out Christmas presents but, as Grandma Grain used to say; “It’s never too early to be fabulous darling”. Ummm, or that might have come from Strictly… ?!? Anyway, here is the Smeary liveries gift to those who like to fly airliners and want to look festive. Sadly, regulations didnt allow me to fit the baubles and lights – too much glare. But, here is the the ‘Under Wraps’ collection of merriment and daftness. Yes, they are fictional. Feel free to pitch them to the airlines – I am certain you might make an impression! However, as I am all too aware that some form of realism is key. So, here is my thinking: By doing a spot of googling, I found that there are four main airlines who fly direct to Lapland. I know there are more, but, for the sake of this, they must land at Rovaniemi which is the closest airport to Lapland. They must also fly direct – I only wanted to make 2 versions of this and have already blown that! This left me Finnair (obviously), British Airways for Europe and American Airlines for the USA. Oh, and… oddly… lets not forget the budget option of Ryanair (which was surprising as Ryanair rarely land within 100 miles of the place you actually want to arrive at). So… armed with rolls of festive wrapping paper and festive sticky tape, the Smeary team got to work… until we couldn’t actually tell which aircraft belonged to who. So… armed with round edged scissors (safety first) we got to work again; and we have created the perfect vehicles for taking happy festive families to visit Santa and back. Once Covid ends… Anyway, I do hope you like this little stocking filler. There is something coming (hopefully) for those who prefer not to fly commercial airlines. Maybe something in the Christmas jumper style As with all drag and drop multi-packs, please unzip outside of the community folder and then drag those suckers in. Either that… or I have heard you can just unzip them from within the community file.
