Modern Russian P-19 Radio-Frequency radar V1.0.0.0 The modern Russian P-19 Radio-Frequency radar was updated to the point of receiving a new designation, the P-19 “Danube”. This new radar completed state testing and was accepted into service with the Soviet Air Defense Forces beginning in 1974. [ 2 ] The P-19, like the earlier P-15, was designed to detect low-flying aircraft and came to be associated with the S-125 “Neva” (NATO reporting name SA-3 “Goa”) anti-aircraft system.
