I fell in love with Macross / Robotech as a kid and am working on adding the Veritech Fighter to Microsoft Flight Simulator. I found a good royalty free model online purchased it and am happy to share it back to the Community at no cost, if this makes another Macross / Robotech Microsoft Flight Sim player happy. Paypal donations are welcome to recoup the cost of the model and to cover the effort that will be going into making this work. To manage expectations, it currently has only landing gear animation, no working interior or correct sound, and is probably not much good to fly. So should probably really would not be of interest to anyone else who are not Macross / Robotech fans and should not be used for any purpose other than to take some screenshots for fun. EHAM WEST TWR Model v1.0
In the default MSFS2020 EHAM (Schiphol Airport) version of the Airport scenery as well as the updated (1.9.3.0) deluxe version of this Airport, the model of the West ATC Tower nearby runway 36L (Polderbaan) still shows a standard Tower model which is not representing the real model. While waiting for a more detailed 3rd party EHAM Airport (Flytampa?) I’ve changed the 3d Warehouse model of this West tower and added some lights for my own use but I’d like to share it with the community. I created these LEGO X-Wings from scratch specifically for my 17,500 LEGO brick Blue Squadron – The Last Stand Battle of Scarif scene. This was entered into the LEGO IDEAs international Star Wars competition, so everything had to be completely original (i.e. you couldn’t import existing models into your scene). Twente airport is a general aviation airport in the east of the Netherlands. Because of its military past it has a large runway: 2.4 km, or almost 8000 feet. It recently started functioning as an airplane parking for airliners, because of the large amount of unused space left behind when the military closed/left the airport (so you can land your jumbo-jet if you so desire). The runway has all realistic dimensions, run-offs and lighting, from VASI to approach lighting just as in real life, also all taxiways and GA parkings are in here. Only thing missing are the military hangars and parking spaces. Next up I am trying to get these hangars modelled, so I can start working on the military parking, which isn’t used anymore, but how fun would it be to be able to start your flight there?
