Nantes City v1.0
Nantes is a city in Loire-Atlantique on the Loire, 50 km (31 mi) from the Atlantic coast. The city is the sixth-largest in France, with a population of 303,382 in Nantes and a metropolitan area of nearly 950,000 inhabitants. With Saint-Nazaire, a seaport on the Loire estuary, Nantes forms one of the main north-western French metropolitan agglomerations. It is the administrative seat of the Loire-Atlantique department and the Pays de la Loire région, one of 18 regions of France. Nantes belongs historically and culturally to Brittany, a former duchy and province, and its omission from the modern administrative region of Brittany is controversial. Nantes was identified during classical antiquity as a port on the Loire. It was the seat of a bishopric at the end of the Roman era before it was conquered by the Bretons in 851. Although Nantes was the primary residence of the 15th-century dukes of Brittany, Rennes became the provincial capital after the 1532 union of Brittany and France. During the 17th century, after the establishment of the French colonial empire, Nantes gradually became the largest port in France and was responsible for nearly half of the 18th-century French Atlantic slave trade. The French Revolution resulted in an economic decline, but Nantes developed robust industries after 1850 (chiefly in shipbuilding and food processing). Deindustrialisation in the second half of the 20th century spurred the city to adopt a service economy. In 2020, the Globalization and World Cities Research Network ranked Nantes as a Gamma world city. It is the fourth-highest-ranking city in France, after Paris, Lyon and Marseille. The Gamma category includes cities such as Algiers, Orlando, Porto, Turin and Leipzig. Nantes has been praised for its quality of life, and it received the European Green Capital Award in 2013. The European Commission noted the city’s efforts to reduce air pollution and CO2 emissions, its high-quality and well-managed public transport system and its biodiversity, with 3,366 hectares (8,320 acres) of green space and several protected Natura 2000 areas. Updated San Francisco | Salesforce Tower and SoMa v0.3
Salesforce Tower is the tallest building in San Francisco, towering over the city at a height of 1070 feet. Completed in 2018, it was built too recently for addition to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This freeware mod brings this iconic building and other significant elements of the San Francisco Skyline to MSFS! This scenery add-on for MSFS 2020 also includes part of the South of Market district (SoMa), with buildings never before present in the game such as the Transbay Transit Center and the unique 181 Fremont skyscraper. This release includes the use of LODs, optimizing framerate. Further optimizations will be made in the future. *This addon uses photogrametry captured in Google Maps, edited and cleaned up in Blender. This livery is semi-fictional. Thai Airways only operates 747-400 and the Star Alliance 747 doesn’t have the 60 anniversary banner. But I thought it would be an nice addition since Thai Airways celebrates their 60 th anniversary this year. Disney World Airport v1.0
Lake Buena Vista Airport was built in 1971 to serve as a STOL airfield for Walt Disney World guests and employees, with scheduled passenger airline service to Orlando Jetport at McCoy (now Orlando International Airport, MCO) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) provided by Shawnee Airlines, using de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft which were STOL capable. This Shawnee Airlines service is mentioned in the “Air Commuter Service” section of the Sept. 6, 1972 Eastern Air Lines system timetable as a connecting service to and from Eastern flights at Orlando and Tampa. Another commuter air carrier which operated scheduled DHC-6 Twin Otter passenger service into the airport was Executive Airlines. The airport was never large, with only enough ramp space at the passenger terminal to accommodate four aircraft at a time; no hangar space was ever built. This STOL airfield was intended as a proof-of-concept for a planned, but was ultimately rejected in favor of a vision for a larger, full-service airport within Walt Disney World itself.[1] All passenger service was discontinued by the 1980s, largely due to extensions of the Walt Disney World Monorail System on either side. As of 2009, flight operations are prohibited by a no-fly zone in place since 2003; however, the runway is fully intact and may be visible to motorists traveling along World Drive toward the Transportation and Ticket Center, as well as by passengers on the monorail. Photogrammetry of a town near Trapani. This country is called erice. It is located on a mountain, where the ruins of the Castle of Venus remain, very suggestive as a tourist resort. Especially beautiful to look at when you fly over it. Coordinates 38 ° 02’14.7 “N 12 ° 35’14.6” E The scenario has been changed. Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester, England v1.0
Old Trafford is a cricket ground in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It opened in 1857 as the home of Manchester Cricket Club and has been the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club since 1864. From 2013 onwards it has been known as Emirates Old Trafford due to a sponsorship deal with the Emirates airline. For an experiment I also added moving ground crew onto the pitch, as from a distance they look like they could be cricket players? (or airport staff having a go at cricket).
