Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport v0.88
LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl. Airport Istanbul – TURKEY ver 0.88 This is our first custom built airport for MSFS 2020 and it is by no means finished yet bu we have decided to release it as a “public beta” because to say the least, the default one is not to our liking. We will spend some more time to make it better but it is much more tempting to fly in and out even at it’s current state. We are aware that there are some texture problems here and there and we will be working on them, time permitting. This scenery was originally created for X-Plane 11 by us with precious support from MXI and most of the 3D models used in this converison were converted from that scenery. A few 3D objects are from an FSX converted X-Plane 10 scenery which were imported to SU and then re exported to MSFS format. Place the argaeus-ltfj-sabihagokcen folder contained in the zipped file into your Community folder and you are ready to fly from LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl Airport. Enjoy your trip in and out of LTFJ. Como – Alzate Brianza – Milano Bresso v0.1
Enjoy breathtaking VFR flights from Milan or Brianza into Lago di Como, Lago di Lugano and the Alps. This scenery started as a simple revamp of Milano Bresso but then quickly became way bigger. Como has been revamped with custom models. Most main iconic monuments, duomo and popular tourist attractions have been modeled: Faro Voltiano Tempio Voltiano Monumento Ai Caduti Stadio Sinigaglia Duomo di Como Castello di Baradello Villa Geno has been reproduced using custom polygons to restore the drama and beauty of the location abrupt elevation changes The historic Aero Club Como, with over 100 years of history, has been added as a usable water airport with water parking spots. It is the perfect location to start breathtaking flights into the Alps to France, Switzerland and Austria, many destinations are easily reachable from here, be sure to check Lugano, Zell Am See, Masera Chavez Marini and many more. ICAO: LILY Charts here. In addition, Alzate Brianza Airport has been accurately reproduced. This airport, 8km SE of Como, is an important center for sailplane activity. As a final touch, Bresso Airfield, in the metropolitan context of Milan, has been revamped and detailed. This airfield is just a stone throw away from Milan and a 10 minute flight from Como. Many important areas from Como to Cernobbio and Blevio have been updated with detailed marinas, churches, basiliche and campanili where required. You can park your Icon A-5 in front of world famous Villa d’Este or go further north to Bellagio. Night lighting for these popular has been implemented as well and flying at sunset is something that everyone should have in their TODO list. Installation Drop into your community folder. TODO Additional important POIs are missing in Como, Cernobbio and Blevio. Unfortunately, there is no photogrammetry data available for Bellagio for now but it is already WIP. San Pablo Bay CA – San Rafael – Gnoss – Sonoma Valley – Petaluma Muni v0.1
Four airports improved in the beatiful San Pablo Bay area, north of San Francisco. Take off from Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto and head north to enjoy the beatiful sights. This package is my tribute to my days of flying in Flight Unlimited 2. There are four airports reproduced to the highest detail I could go using the default MSFS SDK Libraries and using Google/Bing maps. Lugano-Agno (LSZA) Airport v0.2
First of all I restored the missing fence and the horrible bush-fence which will blind the airport view while you’re stuck in the horrible traffic in the Cantonale road and that ugly fence will not even allow you to relax a bit looking at some planes. By the way, I added some static vehicles in that road because that’s how traffic is there. Static. I also restored most missing lidos and marinas (Magliaso, Agno) and added the tents in both camping sites (I used scaled down hangars but they look nice). I restored the missing control tower and reordered a bit the hangar buildings as close as I could using stock objects. I know the terminal is nowhere like the real one but is the best fit I could find. I also restored the missing blue taxiway lights (have no idea how to restore the green ones) and flattened the runway which was looking like a rollercoaster. Some more tweaking was needed against autogen, who was generating some 20 floor high buildings in the area. Another minor corrections were applied to the Cantonale road terraforming, especially nearing the Agno camping/lido. This airport makes for a very interesting and dangerous approach (one of the most dangerous in Europe), see here for charts. Things to do: * test if the localizer is working with the real and dreaded 5.4° glideslope (works) * fix ATC to force takeoffs from RWY 19 * add missing green taxi lights (have no idea how to fix this) INSTALL Drop the folder into your community folder KNOWN ISSUES * MSFS has a serious problem with night lights that are placed hundreds of meters above the ground, that’s an MSFS bug, not the scenario. * ATC has a curious tendency to suggest CircleToLand approaches even with light winds, just ignore them. Zell Am See Airport v0.2
Zell am See Airport (ICAO: LOWZ) is a public use airport located 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Zell am See, Salzburg, Austria. Usable for airplanes up to 5.7 tonnes. Since I’m tightfisted I decided to make my own version of this interesting airport. There are no custom 3D objects and you won’t find the same level of detail as in Gaya’s implementation of this scenery. But this one is free. The main terminal is copied from the one in Innsbruck and works surprisingly well, even though it should be red, not green. All other objetcs are standard MSFS objects and fit very well. Here are some helpful charts to approach this airport correctly and safely. With a 120KTAS GA airplane this airport is reachable with a 30min flight from Innsbruck (LOWI) and it is a very scenic flight. v0.2 update modified some large buildings placed by autogen with custom placed buildings similar to the real ones and added some cosmetics around the airport. Campo di Volo Samolaco
Samolaco is a small municipailty in the Sondrio province. It is 95 km N of Milan and a few km N of Como. This grass airstrip, located in Samolaco, is the perfect companion for my Como scenery, Lugano-Agno airport and Masera airstrip scenery. The proximity to famous Italian tourist sites like Como and Madesimo and to Switzerland in Saint Moritz and Davos allows to start wonderful VFR flights from this airstrip surrounded by some of the most dramatic landscapes that the Alps can offer. Cessna 208B Handling And Performance Mod
Increased Power and adjusted drag/lift to better match the real power of this aircraft. I also changed the torque behavior vs. altitude, so that torque slowly decreases and not increases. I adjusted torque effect on ground roll too. Changed from 2 flap setting config (15° & 30°) to a 3 flap setting config (10°, 20° & 30°). But there are only two animated stages of the flaps, so in the outside view, you still only see the 2 standard settings. But in aerodynamics 3 settings are simulated and you feel them during flight. Now you can take-off with 20°, retract from 20° to 10° @ around 85 KIAS and retract from 10° to Up @ around 95 KIAS. Now you can perform short field take-offs nearly as you should be. I found a POH for a 670+ Hp version. Aircraft in MS FS simulates a 850+ Hp version and can´t nearly perform as the POH of the 670+ Hp version states. Also there should be 3 flap settings available. So I changed that. But I am only limited in what i can do, because I am not a pro and SDK documentary is very limited. I still havent figured out how to changed increasing fuel consumption to a decreasing fuel consumption with increasing altitude. But I capped fuel consumption on a lower value, to compensate a bit. So the mod doesn´t provide an exact remodel of the 208B behavior, but it now feels way better and more powerfull than vanilla. I will continue to iterate on the values, but this is very time consuming and as i stated I only have the values for the 670+ Hp version.
