LIDU Carpi Budrione Airport – Italy v0.5
This is my first creation for MSFS 2020. I’ve worked on the little airport of my home, it’s a tiny aspalt strip located near the city of Carpi, in northern Italy I tried to recreate the scenery as close to reality as possible, including the most recent upgrades to the airport (new clubhouse, buildings, aprons, taxyways and so on) – main buildings are handcrafted in blender – custom lighs on aprons and runway – custom taxylines (a little more faint than default ones) – animated custom beacon – hand painted textures – tower frequency added (123.00 Mhz) all custom lighting needs some more work, this is due to incomplete SDK, still waiting for some update Stuff to do: – PBR textures on custom building, i’m still learning – to much crowded apron (you are going to see passenger buses and airport cars on it, please apologise, i’m working on them) Any suggestion is more than welcome, as long as real life pictures in orther to improve realism! W. K. Kellogg had worked for his brother in a variety of capacities at the B.C. Sanitarium. Tired of living in his brother’s shadow, he struck out on his own, going to the boom-towns surrounding the oilfields in Oklahoma as a broom salesman. Having failed, he returned to work as an assistant to his brother (John Harvey). While working at the sanitariums’ laboratory, W.K. spilled liquefied cornmeal on a heating device that cooked the product and rendered it to flakes. He tasted the flakes and added milk to them. He was able to get his brother to allow him to give some of the product to some of the patients at the sanitarium, and the patients’ demand for the product exceeded his expectations to the point that W.K made the decision to leave the sanitarium. Along with some investors, he built a factory to satisfy the demand for his “corn flakes”. Inspired by Kellogg’s innovation, C. W. Post invented Grape-Nuts and founded his own cereal company in the town. A livery loosely based on the American Airlines N917NN 737-800 and other 737s used in the AirCal fleet up until the American Airlines aquisition in 1987. This is also painted in traditional Aircal white vs. the AA mica system (greyish color) used on N917NN. AirCal (a.k.a. Air California) was a regional airline which operated a base out of John wayne Airport (KSNA) in Santa Ana, CA beginning in 1967 and continued to do so until the American Airlines aquisition.
