EGTE – Exeter Airport UK – Upgrade v1.0
EGTE Exeter is my nearest proper airport so I couldn’t look myself in the mirror until it was saved from ignominy. The in sim airport has bizarre taxiways that have oozed all over clearly disused land and it has the usual blankness that we all know and love. This version has had the taxi system ripped out and rebuilt, erasing the rogue aprons, taxi routes and parking spaces and adding a more sensible set up with some north apron and grass parking along with the main apron. The ground markings have been removed and redone and some custom textures added. The non bonkers aprons have been erased and closer matches have been glued on. A ton of extra detail has been added including letting my increasingly deranged obsession with car parks run riot. The buildings and hangars on the opposite side of the airfield have been filled in. The industrial estate around the airport has been lit properly as it was pitch black at night, and of course the airport has too as that was near dark as well. There’ll be places where the buildings don’t match as I decided it would be better to keep what was there due to lighting. No doubt I’ve left some gaping mistakes here and there as I’ve been churning at this non stop for days so if there’s anything you spot please let me know. Port Hardy British Columbia CYZT v1.1
Port Hardy is located on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. The airport has three paved runways with runway 11/29 being the longest at 5000 feet. It has an ILS on rwy 11, and RNAV approaches on 11/29 and 08/26. Like many airports this size Hardy is manned with a FSS and has a 5 mile CZ around the field with a Mandatory Freq. (122.2) This is a great stop-over airport for trips from the Vancouver area to points north such as Sandspit or Prince Rupert. I hope you enjoy flying this area! Hello again! Brasilia, Federal District – Brazil Now bringing you the Brazilian capital. With an amazing shape of a plane -literally-, and about 3 million citizens, Brasilia is a wonder when we talk about modernity and technologies in construction departmernt. Out of the hands of Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012), one of the greatest architects of all time and a proud for Brazil, and the Urbanist Lucio Costa, Brasilia was conceived to be the central of politics in country. It is located basically in the middle of Brazil in a region known as “Planalto Central”, and it’s famous shape has the name of “Plano Piloto” (Pilot Plan). In 1960 Brasilia has come to the world, a city with only 60 years old and surrounded by lakes. The Plano Piloto contains the “Asa Sul” (South Wing) and “Asa Norte” (Noth Wing), with the middle of these two areas containing the administractive center of Brasilia, where are located the Esplanade and the Ministrations. Fly around this wonder daparting of Juscelino Kubistchek airport, one of the biggest and most frequented airports of Brazil, located just near the Plano Piloto. NOTES: -There are areas just near the Plano Piloto that are mapped with Google data, but isn’t 3D photogrammetry. This is because the 3d photogrametry of Google just covers the area of Plano Piloto, nothing else near. -There are no Satelite Cities included. They also don’t have photogrammetry data.
