Savage Cub “Rosie the Rocketer” Livery v1.0
These textures are for the MSFS2020 Default Savage Cub. It represents the Piper L-4 Grasshopper “Rosie the Rocketer”, piloted by Maj. Charles “Bazooka Charlie” Carpenter, who, disgusted with constantly being unable to do anything about tanks that he found as he was spotting for artillery in Europe during WWII, mounted six bazooka rocket launchers on his little Piper, and was eventually credited with eliminating six enemy tanks and several armored cars, and started a trend among his fellow Grasshopper compatriots. The actual plane he flew made it through WWII, passed through several people’s hands and was recently purchased by the Collings Foundation and has now been fully restored to flying condition. I’ve included a couple of pictures of it from an event I attended recently. There are actually two packages associated with this install. The texture set for Rosie the Rocketer, and a new eye location to raise the head of the view to it’s proper height above the instrument panel. I also added the co-pilot and cargo positions to the Weight & Balance form (to actually remove the co-pilot model, you’ll have to edit the aircraft.cfg file and comment the co-pilot out). Airbus A320neo LTU (Revised livery) v1.0
To compliment the (probably more recognised) older ‘red roof’ livery for LTU, here is the newest version that they made… sadly in the same year that they were taken over by Air Berlin in 2007. Following that, the aircraft were reliveried in Air Berlin paint before the company itself was retired. Based in Dusseldorf, LTU Lufttransport-Unternehmen GmbH was a German leisure airline which operated from 1955 through to 2011. LTU never actually operated the A320 neo – the closest being the Airbus A320-200. However, I am sure we can let them off (the A320neo didn’t come into production until several years after the demise of LTU). Oh… one thing. The ‘LTU’ on the wing tips are mirrored. It is a pain, but it was that or leave it off. I hope you like this one – perhaps now Smeary liveries can get back to producing less staight text and more multi coloured faboulousness. I’ve added and tweaked missing details, terraformed the runways & surroundings, added the appropriate frequencies, added lakes, ponds & vegetation for the entire area etc. Not all airport/airfield names & designators may be the official/original ones. If you have information about their real names and designators, please let me know! Due to the amount of airports in close proximity of each other, their small size and the lack of usable object libraries, the extent of added details has been kept rather light. Installation: Drop the individual airport/airstrip folders in your community package folder and you should be good to go! If you find any problems, missing stuff or have more general feedback, please let me know, so I can incorporate it in a future update.
