Legazpi airport is an airport that serves the city of Legazpi in Albay, It is one of the important airports that serve the region, the other being Naga Airport. It is iconic as well, as from the tarmac, you will be able to see Mayon Volcano. The airport however only operates as sunrise-sunset due to it’s lack of ILS. *DISCLAIMER* – Scenery is loosely based on google maps satellite imagery and may not be 100% accurate to the real life location. – Scenery assets are made using default assets and is NOT handcrafted. – I am unsure on how to work the ATC using the SDK so it may not function properly – In any circumstances where I use a non-default asset, I do apologize and It would be great if the owner of said asset (if there is) let me know! – Feedback is greatly appreciated! Detailed Features in this mod include: – Woodfield Mall – The largest indoor shopping mall in the Chicago Area (and at one time, the largest in the world when originally constructed) – Streets of Woodfield – Schaumburg Convention Center and Hotel – New Zurich North American HQ – Former Zurich Towers – Various Office Towers directly West of I-290 I appreciate the feedback I have received so far regarding my mods, and I am pleased that so many of you are enjoying these to date. Below are a few of my next projects in the Chicago Area: – Midway INTL Airport… this will be my first attempt at creating an improved airport, so this one may take me some time to be sure I get it right! – Downtown Area just West of the Museum Campus (Central Station)… I may look to improve that area with updated and more detailed data. – Wolf Point on the Chicago River… I’ll see if I can obtain some updated models with some of the more recent additions to that area. – Arlington Heights… At the very least I want to get Arlington INTL Racetrack but I may try to get DT Arlington Heights as well. – Rolling Meadows… This would help to enhance some of the additional currently missing office towers in the I-90/I-290 Interchange area. – Downers Grove/Lombard/Lisle… This was both one I was intending to do and also requested, as there are some notable buildings and landmarks in this area (especially near I-355/I-88) that could be greatly improved upon! – Naperville (both DT and I-88 Corridor) – Aurora (DT area) – Joliet (DT area) – Glen Ellyn (DT area)… Thank you for requesting! – Wheaton (DT area) – Elmhurst (DT area) – Palatine (DT area) – Potential select areas of NW Indiana *Obviously, I welcome more suggestions of landmarks or areas you all might want to see done in more detail! Outside of the Chicago Area (future projects): – Some of the NYC Skyscrapers… By request, specifically in Lower Manhatten, including 1 WTC – Areas in Metro St. Louis (TBD) – Areas in Metro KC (TBD) – Various cities/areas of Downstate Illinois (exact areas TBD) **All future projects will also be dependent on availability of imagery. I welcome feedback on any of this project. Santa Monica Airport is a Class D airport nestled below the LAX Class B. SMO is predominantly a General Aviation airport, handling nearly 300 operations a day. SMO is home to several flight schools, maintenance shops, and the Air-Spacers Flying Club. The latest airport developed by VTOL Aviation is KSMO SantaMonica Municipal Airport! Santa Monica Airport is a Class D airport nestled below the LAX Class B. SMO is predominantly a General Aviation airport, handling nearly 300 operations a day. Due to significant residential development around the airport, SMO is widely renowned for enforcing one of the most stringent noise ordinances in the nation, so be sure to keep those decibels low! While you’re visiting, drop by Proteus Flight Services Flight School to touch up on your flying skills, or pop over to the nearby Airport Park to enjoy the weather. SMO has seen many facelifts in recent years. In 2017, theCity of Santa Monica reduced the runway from 5000 feet to 3500 feet in order to discourage jet traffic, leaving 750 feet at both ends as blast pads. The summer of 2020 saw the airport remove those blast pads and replace them with grass. As of 2019, a judge had ordered that the airport will be shut down in 2028, so get your flights in while you can! In an attempt to accommodate a variety of preferences, thisrelease includes both the pre-Summer 2020 blast pad variant and the Fall 2020 grass variant of SMO. You will see two folders: Pre-Summer 2020 Version: “vtolaviation-ksmo” Fall 2020 Version: “vtolaviation-ksmo_FA2020” This airport is free to use and always will be, no matterwhat additional edits we make. If you use this airport in a stream or other creative media, all we ask is to receive credit for the airport. Please do NOT upload elsewhere without our permission. In order to ensure that people get the best quality freeware, we are handlingreleases in a very particular way to ensure that it’s easiest for us to manage hotfixes. Custom assets developed for this airport may be used in other airports. However, credit to VTOLAviation is required to be given.
