PWAK – Wake Island Airfield v1.0
PWAK – Wake Island Airfield, USA Wake Island Airfields history started with the Era of the Flying Boats on the Trans Pacific Routes. Pan American World Airways needed a Stopover and Refueling station enroute from the states to the Far East. Wake Island, as being “out there in the middle of nowhere” was the perfect spot, and a hotel was build too. In December 1940 the construction of the Naval base and Airfield was started, but already a year later, the fierce battle of Wake Islands began, and the island was occupied by the Japanese, and it lasted to the end of WW2. After the war, the station again played an important role for the cross Pacific flights, and served carriers as Pan Am, JAL, BOAC and many more. Today PWAK live a quiert life with limited military activities and as a military logistic center for the region, and are manned by aprx. 100 servicemen. The field serve still as an important EMM field for the Airliners passing high above the Island. Note that due to SDK limitation it has not been possible to edit AI,taxiways & signs, so you will have to live with a lot of GA traffic and casualty placed fuel spot, untill improvements of the SDK makes it possible for an update. The scenery is created with MSFS SDK and stock objects only, just unzip and drop the pwak folder in to your MSFS community folder. Catbalogan Airport is located in Barangay Cabugawan on Buri Island, connected via land bridge of Route 675 to the coast of Barangay Silanga, Catbalogan City. Simply copy-paste the nardz-airport-rpvy-catbalogan folder to your Community folder. NOTES: I made this airport for my FSEconomy FBO. This is RPCA in FSEconomy. The terminal is close to the real one with an added touch but the hangar and the bridge going to the terminal is non-existent. The aircraft hangar is handcrafted using Blender. Still practicing 3D modelling and texturing for MSFS2020. This airport in west Sweden is built from Lennart Arvidssons models for X-plane and P3D. Lennart is a big contributor to the community and I am happy to get his permission to convert this for msfs. The airport has an asphalt strip and it is used by small regional aircraft and gliders. Kinnarps furniture seems to be a proud sponsor of the airfield with two branded hangars. Happy flying. Platov International Airport (IATA: ROV, ICAO: URRP) (Russian: Международный аэропорт Платов) is an airport close to the stanitsa of Grushevskaya, Aksaysky District, Rostov Oblast, Russia near the city of Novocherkassk northeast of Rostov-on-Don. It serves Rostov-on-Don (as a replacement for the old Rostov-on-Don Airport) and started operation in December 2017 It is named after Matvei Platov. It was originally planned that the airport would open in November 2017, with passenger navigation starting on 1 December 2017. The project has a capacity of 5 million passengers per year. Azimuth will be the main company serving the airport. The airport was opened on 27 November 2017, with the new highway to the airport and final tests before the operations would commence. The airport commenced passenger service on 7 December 2017, and the old airport was scheduled to officially cease all its operations on 1 March 2018. As my father was a pilot there I know pretty well the area, and I was a little disapointed about the airport area which was far from reality so I decided to fix that . For MSFS2020 Saint-Ghislain Airfield (French: Aérodrome de Saint-Ghislain) (IATA: N/A, ICAO: EBSG) is a small airfield located in the Walloon municipality of Saint-Ghislain, province of Hainaut, Belgium. Privately managed, the airport is home to an active flight school (Aéroclub Mons-Borinage), but also to other aeronautical oriented leisure activities, such as old aircraft restoration, or amateur aircraft building. There is no scheduled air service. A modernization of the airport was completed in 1992, including a hard-surfacing of the single runway. I used google maps in this scenery. The scenery: Highly accurate and realistic scenery with self made buildings ( with photorealistic textures). So no standard FS2020 buildings! FREEWARE Do not use any of these files in other scenery.
