Sequim Valley Airport (W28) is a privately owned, open for public use airport and residential airpark located in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, three miles northwest of sunny Sequim, Washington. The airport is a stone throw away from Sekiu (11S), Friday Harbor (KFHR), Orcas Island (KORS) making for some very interesting flights to the San Juan Islands, Olympic Range (see Mt. Olympus at 8000ft) and Juan de Fuca strait. Seattle is 50nm and Mt. Rainier is 80nm, both at roughly 120° out of W28 Mt. Baker, Eldorado Peak and Glacier Peak east of Penn Cove VOR (CVV, 50° 20nm). Another very scenic flight is to start from ORBX OG20 (Fairways Airport, freeware) and navigate either the coast or do VOR navigation. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines; it was founded in 2018 as a provisional company, and was initially expected to commence operations on 14 May 2020. ZIPAIR plans to operate medium/long-haul international flights with Narita’s Terminal 1 North Wing as its hub. It was, however, announced in April 2020 that the commencement of the operation would be postponed due to the pandemic of COVID-19. Sogndal Haukasen airport (IATA: SOG, ICAO: ENSG) is a very famous airport from Norway, known for being inside the biggest Norwegian fjord. Sogndal is a challenging airport for pilots. Surrounding by mountains, it is at 1600 ft above sea level and faces cold and windy winter weather. It has connexion to other nearby cities in South Norway with Wideroe using turboprop Dash8 aircraft. You can enjoy scenic flights to many places (Sandane, Bomoen, Bergen, Floro, Forde, Fagernes, etc.) from this location, both in winter and summer time. I was not totally satisfied with the generic airport which is incomplete and has a few errors with landing lights i.e. Therefore, I made my own, closer to reality and enjoyable for everyone. Working ILS24 and LOC06. AFIS changed for Tower since it is not possible with MSFS. Simply drag and drop under your Community folder.
