A collection of backcountry/bush strips in the McCarthy, AK area. A range of opportunities here, everything from a Kodiak to a supercub will find a challenge here.
McCarthy, Ak (literally, almost all of it)
This add-on enhances the McCarthy, Alaska area by refining and decorating several private airstrips, including AK31 Swift Creek Airport and 0AK8 Fireweed Airport, based on satellite imagery. The project includes detailed landscaping with new buildings, decorations, and improved roadways, making the area more immersive for exploration. Additionally, the add-on corrects the paths of the Kennicott and Copper Rivers, enhancing their visual representation within the simulator. Libraries for objects are required for full functionality.
McCarthy 5 Private Strip, Ak
Experience the McCarthy 5 private strip in Alaska, a secluded airstrip perfect for adventurous flights away from the busy McCarthy area. This add-on features a 1000-foot grassy runway and a small cabin with an adjacent hangar for your aviation needs. Located just north of Dan Creek and southwest of Peavine, it offers an ideal base for exploring the Alaskan wilderness. Please note that the Emerald Object Library is required for full functionality.
May Creek, Ak
May Creek, Alaska features a 2700-foot gravel airstrip that is managed by the Alaska Department of Transportation. The airstrip is typically well-maintained, although pilots should be aware that the grass may grow tall during the summer months, making pre-landing inspections advisable. The ICAO code for this airstrip is MYK.
Tana River (lower) Strip, AK

Hawkins Bench, Alaska
Hawkins Bench is a remote airstrip located 8.5 miles east of Erickson Creek in Alaska, offering an uphill landing area with a combination of slopes and flat sections. The strip is 700 feet long and set on low tundra terrain. It features scenic approaches along the Hawkins glacier. ICAO code for this location is N802.
Chitistone Falls, AK
Chitistone Falls, AK adds a scenic location to Microsoft Flight Simulator, situated 11 miles ENE of Peavine Strip. This add-on features impressive views of Chitistone Falls, easily accessible by landing near the river confluence. The landing strip is approximately 450 feet long and slightly uphill, enhancing the area’s natural beauty. The Emerald Object Library is required for proper functionality.
Chitina River, Ak
This add-on modifies the Chitina River in Microsoft Flight Simulator to accurately reflect its complex multi-threaded channel, correcting the representation of the rivers span from the Nzina River confluence to the Copper River. The enhancement includes the addition of numerous gravel bars, improving the realism and visual fidelity of the river environment. Future updates may address additional river corrections in the surrounding area.
Canyon Creek, Alaska
This add-on recreates Canyon Creek airstrip in Alaska, located about 6.5 miles north of Erickson Creek. It features a 700-foot grass and dirt runway with a slight uphill slope and views of the nearby Canyon Creek glacier. The valley setting poses interesting approach challenges, with limited room for go-arounds. ICAO code for this strip is N797.
Alaska Scenery Project POI's
The Alaska Scenery Project POIs add-on enhances your flight experience by providing approximately 40 labeled points of interest across Alaskas landscapes, including mountain peaks, rivers, lakes, and glaciers. This work-in-progress project aims to assist users in identifying landmarks while flying, as the labels appear when within 1000 meters of each feature. Note that the physical landmarks remain unaltered, and some elevation adjustments may be necessary.
FSTrAk
FSTrAk is a modern flight tracker and logbook for MSFS (and possibly FSX/P3D, although not tested). It aims to be a no-frills, install and let it run experience - as it requires no manual intervention. FSTrAk monitors your simulator silently and will detect when a flight is started, track it on a map, and persist it to a local database when it is complete.
TECNAM P2008JC MKII Aeroklub Ziemi Lubuskiej Pack
This add-on provides four custom liveries for the Tecnam P2008 JC MK2 by Aerosachs, compatible with both MSFS 2020 and 2024. The liveries represent real-life aircraft from Aeroklub Ziemi Lubuskiej.
