Skydive Dubai – OMDU v0.5
When Skydive Dubai started, it was just a small sand runway. It evolved over the years to what it is now – a spectacular, floating runway, which extends 550 meters into the Arabian Gulf, right next to the famous Palm Jumeirah. The floating runway is quite a sight on approach and is reconstructed as a full 3D object, featuring 4K PBR texturing. Installation: Just move the “tsdesigns-omdu” folder to your Community folder. Niamey DRRN v1.0
To avoid any misunderstandings: This is not a real life remake of the airport, it’s just an improvement of sad, deserted and dark AI airports. Per default I’m flattening the runway where the mesh is doing crazy things, typically I’m adding lights, missing hangars and a tower similar to the real buildings and locations, maybe car parks if these can be identified in sat images. The intention is to provide a flyable & fps friendly airport for people with lower hardware spec, to give them some immersion. So please don’t complain, that it’s not the real thing. Niamey DRRN Diori Hamani International Airport (IATA: NIM, ICAO: DRRN) is an airport in Niamey, the capital of Niger. It is located 9 km (5.6 mi) from Niamey in the south eastern suburbs of the city, along the Route Nationale 1, the major highway linking Niamey with the east of the nation. The airport complex also includes the major base for the Armed Forces of Niger’s “Armee d’Air”. I’ve tried to simulate the new terminal with the two jetways, but the military runway 09L/27R remains missing, it is barely visible in the Bing sat data. I’ve added external lights for the airport buildings, apron, facility buildings jetways VOR NY east of the airport Should work with the standard edition, only default assets in use, but make sure you have all world updates installed, just in case … If you find any errors, let me know and send a screenshot. Soon to be replace by the Dassault Falcon 7X Special purpose aircraft, this is a fictional, but true to realism smaller jet aircraft used by the Royal Australian Air Force. They are part of the Special Purpose Aircraft fleet, operated by No. 34 Squadron from Defence Establishment Fairbairn in the Australian Capital Territory. The smaller jets are used for regional and interstate travel for VIP and government officials.
