Indooroopilly Bridge v1.0
The Walter Taylor Bridge is a heritage-listed suspension bridge crossing the Brisbane River between Indooroopilly and Chelmer in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is shared by motor traffic and pedestrians and is the only habitable bridge in the Southern Hemisphere. The bridge was conceived, designed, built and funded by local visionary Walter Taylor. It is a suspension bridge and the support cables were actually surplus cables used to hold up the incomplete halves of the Sydney Harbour Bridge during its construction. When the bridge opened it had the longest span of any suspension bridge in Australia. The bridge was opened on 14 February 1936 by the Governor of Queensland, Sir Leslie Wilson, with the final cost (anchorage to anchorage) coming to £85,000. The bridge was operated as a toll bridge until the 1960s, with a toll collection booth located at the Northern (Indooroopilly) end. During that time, the bridge was known as the “Indooroopilly Toll Bridge”. After Walter Taylor’s death in 1955, the bridge was renamed the Walter Taylor Bridge in his honour in 1956. This is my custom Walter Taylor Bridge model that took me just over 2 weeks to build. I removed the existing bridge that was there including the brick supports under it as the Walter Taylor doesn’t have or need them being a suspension bridge. This is not a perfect model, I used photos and Google Street view as the reference, so everything is guess work. I’ve had to scale the detail back a bit (I originally planned to do all the railings and guardrails, but decided they weren’t important enough for this project) and there have been a few comprimises (it’s difficult to find high res photos of some parts of it) but for the most part it’s a very accurate representation of the Walter Taylor Bridge and I’m extremely happy with it. This is currently only the 1 bridge at Indooroopilly. I will be adding the other 3 bridges in future versions. C-172 G1000 Recolored v1.0
These textures are for the MSFS2020 Default C-172 Skyhawk (G1000). Back in the day, pretty much all the first repaints were just “recolors” of the default paint job of the planes. So, as far as I was concerned, the colors people were choosing were awful, so I decided to create a set with more “realistic” colors, I did a little research and chose some Cessna original paint jobs for the C-172, and came up with these, plus a couple of others. Then there was the whole livery debacle back in October, and I never got around to releasing these. Somebody recently saw some pictures I posted and asked that I release them… soo, here we are… hope you like them. Just drag and drop the folder into your Community folder. I’ve released them as a set in a single package. If you don’t like any of the colors, just remove the lines from the layout.json for that color set and you should be all set. ATSimulations Focke-Wulf Piaggio FWP.149 N149JZ v1.0
The Piaggio P.149 is an Italian utility and liaison aircraft from the 1950s that was designed and built by Piaggio. Few were built until Germany selected it as a trainer and liaison aircraft and accepted 72 units from Piaggio. The aircraft was later built under license from Focke-Wulf in West Germany as FWP.149D, who built another 190 copies for the German Air Force. The prototype first flew on June 19, 1953. The aircraft was operated from 1957 to 1984 by the German Air Force, the longest operating period for any aircraft in the German Luftwaffe. The Swissair flight school at Bern (Belp) airfield used a small fleet of this type to give primary instruction to prospective pilots. Between the German Air force, Swissair, and several units purchased by Uganda, A total of 290 units were manufactured, most between 1957 and 1961. At a cruising speed of 140 knots, fuel consumption is around 15 gallons per hour. The maximum speed at sea level is around 170 knots. The rate of climb is a respectable 980 fpm and the service ceiling is 19,850 feet. The range with a reserve of 30 minutes is 680 miles. Peformance and reliability like this show that it was an all-round respectable airplane. This particular plane is serial number 255 and was restored in nearly every detail by Ed Zager of Intel fame. I say nearly so because the camoflage scheme is mirrored left and right, when the right side should have been kind of flipped from the left. And the plane would most likely have been seen in this scheme when it had the call sign 91+73. It was very likely all orange when it was AS+406. Nevertheless, it’s still a beautiful aircraft, and I’m kicking myself for not buying it when I could have. Maybe someday. Through its life the plane carried the call signs AS+406, AC+406, 91+73, D-EFDO, and now N149JZ. While in the Luftwaffe, it served mainly with 3 JABOG 49. Alpha, YAPH v1.0
This is Alpha YAPH airport in central Queensland about 2.5 NM from the township it is situated between Barcaline and Emerald. it is a small general aviation airport and also used for medical emergencies as well. I tidied up the default version as it had no apron or taxiway area, so i added parking apron and taxiway, some night lighting a fueling depot. i deleted windsock and put in right area added perimeter fencing, fixed the little road leading into the airport and added runway gables and cones.
