WWII Nasugbu Airstrip – Phillipines v1.0
Nasugbu Airfield was located half a mile north of Nasugbu and half a mile east of the port of Wawa and Nasugbu Point. Prior to construction, the area was a sugar cane plantation. To the western edge of the airfield is Route 413. Built prior to the war by the U.S. Army as an emergency landing ground (ELG). The airfield had two intersecting runways.
During January 1942, occupied by the Japanese Army. During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, Nasugbu Airfield was reportedly repaired and expanded. On January 31, 1945 liberated by the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division.
