The Sunset Drive-In Theatre – Aurora, Mo. v1.0

A local landmark, the Sunset Drive-In Theatre located in Aurora, Mo. opened in 1951 and is still open to patrons. Just north of Jerry Sumners Sr. Aurora Municipal Airport (2H2), it can be seen when approaching runway 18.
This is more of an experiment just to see what could be done using what’s provided in the sdk, houses just don’t cut it when it comes to DI screens. The screen is an oversized sign and the only one that really seemed usable though its not possible to really hide the frame. It’s lit at night so it can be seen anytime you fly. I went ahead and added some water texture to several nearby ponds that weren’t done in the sim and will probably add more to the DI and the area surrounding the airport.
I hope you like it better than the houses, if I get some positive feedback I might do a series of them. At one time drive-ins were a common sight and sometimes used for visual referance.
