São Domingos do Prata is a Brazilian municipality in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, in the Southeast Region of the country. Its economy is based on agriculture, livestock and industry, with medium-sized companies and industries. It is located in the region of the middle Piracicaba river.
This airstrip was opened due to the construction of BR 381, a federal highway known as Fernão Dias and is currently no longer used.
