Mountain Empire Airport is a public use airport in Smyth County, Virginia, United States. It is located nine nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Marion and 13 nautical miles west of Wytheville. The airport has a single 5252 x 75 ft. runway, with published localizer and GPS approaches and a full parallel taxiway. A ramp extension gives ample tie-down space for aircraft of all sizes.
