LFXA – Base aérienne 278 Ambérieu-en-Bugey v1.0
The French Air Force’s 278 Ambérieu-en-Bugey Air Base is located approximately five kilometers north-north-west of Ambérieu-en-Bugey in the Ain department in the east of the France. Since 1982, it bears the name of Colonel Chambonnet.
The Ambérieu-en-Bugey air base is mainly a supply and repair center for aircraft electronic equipment and ground telecommunications detection equipment and navigation aid and manufacturing center simple equipment. It also ensures the calibration and repair of all air force measuring devices as well as the manufacture and repair of safety, rescue and survival equipment.
