EGDP – Portland Navy v1.0

Royal Navy Air Station Portland was established in 1917 for seaplanes flying coastal patrols. It was disused from about 1919 until 1946, apoart from a short period at the end of 1939 into early 1940. In 1946 it became a base for helicopter trials and, in the next few years, became a major base training aircrew in anti submarine warfare. The base closed in 1999.
I have rebuilt the airfield for FSEconomy and have used a bit of artistic licence to extend the runway length beyond anything it ever was!
