The Provence thermal power station, more commonly known as the Gardanne power station, is a thermal power station located in the municipalities of Meyreuil and Gardanne, in the Provence coal basin in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. It operates on coal and biomass and using the so-called circulating fluidized bed (CFL) technology 1. It has the highest chimney in France which rises to 297 m.
