Benediktinerkloster Ettal v1.0

Ettal Abbey is a Benedictine abbey (Abbey of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary) in the village of Ettal in Upper Bavaria and belongs to the Bavarian Benedictine Congregation. The abbey is around ten kilometers north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and south-east of Oberammergau. Founded in 1330, the Benedictine monastery is now a popular tourist attraction. Farms, several inns, a hotel and a high school with a boarding school belong to the monastery. In addition, an art publisher, a distillery and a brewery.
