Anglemont, BC – XCAA3 v2
Welcome to Anglemont, BC, located about 50 nm northeast of Kamloops and about 20 nm north of Salmon Arm on the beautiful Big Shuswap Lake! This field is long closed and overgrown. By now the runway is very likely all covered in grass and moss but I brought it back to how it would look perhaps 5 years after closing in the 1990s. Back in the day this runway would serve the small isolated semi-resort town of Anglemont.
The runway is only 1500 feet long and slopes at over 10 degrees so it is most definitely a one-way-in, one-way-out strip. Avoid the trees on final, don’t lose momentum, and roll out to the top on landing. There’s a dirt taxiway with a clearing to allow you to turn around before taking off again.
