KLRM – Calumet-Laurium Airport, Laurium, Michigan (Historical, c. 1946)

The KLRM – Calumet-Laurium Airport add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator recreates the historical airport as it appeared around 1946. Originally constructed in 1933 during the Great Depression, this facility functioned as a municipal airport until the late 1950s. The add-on features three grass runways, a detailed brick hangar based on historical photographs, and is designed for VFR operations typical of the era. Users can experience the heritage of aviation in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, along with the unique cultural history of the surrounding towns.
