Douglas C-47 French navy

The Douglas C-47 French Navy add-on features a historically significant aircraft that served in squadron 56S from 1961 to 1984. Originally utilized by the USAF during World War II for paratrooper drops, this aircraft transitioned to a civilian role before being acquired by the French Navy. It functioned as a liaison, transport, and training platform in various capacities, stationed in both north-western and southern France throughout its career. After retirement, the aircraft underwent restoration and is now preserved on display.
