Boyd Airstrip

Boyd Airstrip is a small bush strip situated in the Kaimanawa Ranges, approximately 40km southeast of Taupo. The 550-meter runway features relatively flat terrain but may have an uneven surface that retains water after rainfall. Located at an elevation of 3,100 feet, it presents challenges related to density altitude and unpredictable wind conditions. This airstrip is popular among private pilots and hunters seeking access to the rugged landscapes of the area.
