DeimosInc Griffin Empire Test Pilots’ School

Trainee test pilots at Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS) will gain greater access to flying Sweden’s new generation Gripen fighter under a new agreement with Saab Aerosystems. The planned 2006 training campaigns will see an increase in student numbers, flights per student, and inclusion of Flight Test Engineer students within a refined syllabus. ETPS has successfully incorporated Gripen into its test pilot training courses since 1999, working closely with Saab Aerosystems. The expansion of the ETPS project in 2006 will further embed Gripen as an integral part of the training course, with trainees from various air forces participating in flight operations at Linköping.
