USN F-4S VF-302 Stallions ND 204 /Buno.155864 add-on features a unique "Heater-Ferris" camouflage scheme proposed by Lt Commander Chuck Heatley. The scheme, inspired by Keith Ferris, aimed to make visual detection more difficult and enhance aircraft disguise. Only two fighter units adopted this effective scheme - VF-302 (Stallions) and VF-301 (Devils Disciples), adding a distinctive touch to their Phantoms in the early 1980s.
