Kitami is a city located in Okhotsk Subprefecture on the island of Hokkaidō, Japan. Kitami is located in eastern Hokkaido, between the Ishikari Mountains and the Sea of Okhotsk. In 2010, Kitami had a population of 126,075, spread over an area of 1,427.56 km2. In August 2021, the population was 114,6021.
