Sighisoara

Sighișoara is a city and municipality in Transylvania, Romania. It is populated by 32,570 inhabitants in 2007. It is also a tourist destination known for its historical heritage and appearing on the list of world heritage drawn up by UNESCO. The city of Sighișoara is located in the south of the county of Mureș, on the Târnava Mare river and in the homonymous valley, 55 km south-east of Târgu Mureș (the capital of the county) and 110 km north- west of Brasov.
