ADK2 - Elk Lake Lodge Airstrip
Elk Lake Lodge is a fictional airstrip for flying in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. This strip is located on the North side of Elk Lake. There is a real-life private lodge on the southern side of Elk Lake. The resort is part of over 12,000 acres of private hunting/fishing land in the Adirondack Forest Preserve surrounding the true-to-life lodge. The asphalt runway can be used by larger GA aircraft while the grass strip is there to provide comfort to smaller planes while coming in for a stay. If water is more your fancy... we have that covered too with a water runway just off shore. Be careful not to anger the fisherman while landing. Enjoy this U-shaped valley and the approach this airstrip brings depending on the weather/winds.
