The airport is located in Hood River, about 83 km east of Portland. TacAero, a flight training school affiliated with CubCrafters, the manufacturer of the Xcub included in the MSFS 2020, is located at this airport. CubCrafters has commissioned TacAero to provide a one-week flight intensive transition program for those unfamiliar with the tailwheel system.
