ESVB Bunge airfield
Bunge airfield was built in 1939 as a military airbase and strategically located in the middle of the Baltic sea. When the ”jet-age” arrived, the runways were too short and Bunge airfield was mostly used as an alternate airport on the island of Gotland. The military frequently used it for training until its closure in 2001 when it became a private airport owned by the Martinsson family.
