SYKTYVKAR Airport IATA: SCW – IKAO: UUYY Syktyvkar Airport named after Pyotr Istomin is an international airport of federal significance  in Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic.In 2018, following the results of the All-Russian competition "Great Names of Russia", the airport was named after the first Komi pilot Pyotr Istomin. The airport is located near the city center, not far from the town of Kirul. Near the airport there is a hotel, a stop of city buses, including an intercity route to the city of Ukhta.
