Seaplane Base Ny-Alesund Spitzbergen (Roald Amundsen Polar Flight)

From Ny-Ålesund Roald Amundsen started his series of polar flights, first with a Dornier J Wal in 1925 and then again 1926 and 1928 in the airships Norge and Italia, respectively. So now if you want to step in Amundsen's shoes and go hunting for the North Pole, you can start from cold and dark in Ny-Ålesund.
