Takotna Airport (PPCT)

Takotna - Iditarod checkpoint #9 - In 1921, the Alaska Road Commission improved the Takotna-Ophir road, and an airfield was constructed. In 1923.  This is the "Old Takotna Airport" (PXCT) located just above the town.  A newer, larger airport (PPCT) was later built a mile east of the town.
