Gdansk (Danzig in German) is a port city located on the Baltic coast in Poland. In the center of its Main Town, rebuilt after the Second World War, stand the colorful facades of the Long Market, which now houses shops and restaurants. Nearby is the bronze statue of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, a symbol of the city dating back to the 17th century. Gdańsk is also the center of the world amber trade.
