Lausanne is a city on Lake Geneva, in the French-speaking canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It houses the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, as well as the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park. Away from the lake, the hilly old town is made up of medieval streets lined with shops and a 12th-century Gothic cathedral
