Chamonix
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (or more commonly Chamonix) is a resort town at the junction of France, Switzerland and Italy. Located at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps, it is renowned for its ski slopes. All year round, the cable cars transport visitors to the various surrounding peaks which offer exceptional panoramic views, such as the Aiguille du Midi above the city and the Pointe Helbronner above the glaciers on the Italian border.
