The 155th group was formed in Ciampino (RM) on 15 January 1941. On 1 January 1951 the group was transferred to the base of Istrana (TV). In the following years it was the protagonist of the foundation of the 50th Stormo on the grounds of San Damiano in Piacenza, to which it remains inextricably linked until 13 September 2013, when the Stormo is placed in a square position. Today the group is based at the Ghedi base, equipped with PA-200 Tornados Source Aeronautics and Defense
