Cadiz is a historic port city located on a narrow strip of land surrounded by the sea in Andalusia, southwestern Spain. The home port of the Spanish Navy developed in the 16th century as a base for exploration and trade. The city has more than 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Tavira Tower, traditionally used to spot ships, and the 18th-century Cadiz Cathedral on the waterfront
