Bastia & surrounding [High detail -Corsica]
Bastia is a Corsican city. Its old port is lined with bars and restaurants, and the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church stands just behind, with its two bell towers. Terra Nova, a centuries-old citadel with ramparts, was built by governors of Genoa. Not far from there is the Sainte-Marie cathedral, adorned with paintings and marble statues. The Governors' Palace houses the Bastia Museum, which traces the history of the city.
