Riva del Garda is an Italian town of about 17,500 inhabitants located in the autonomous province of Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in northeastern Italy. It is located on the edge of Lake Garda. Until 1918, the city (named RIVA then RIVA IN TIROL around 1865, RIVA NEL TIROLO, then again simply RIVA) was part of the Austrian monarchy
