H512 - Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk Airport, from which passenger flights were made by An-24, Yak-40 and lower class aircraft to Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, Riga, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Kharkov, Odessa, Kutaisi, Krivoy Rog, Cherkassy and other airports. Closed in 1987. Passenger flights from Novorossiysk stopped in 1986, and the exact reason is still not clear. One version of the cessation of flights is considered too windy weather in Novorossiysk. Another is that the general plan for the city's development provided for residential construction in the nearby area. In the future - until the mid-2000s the apron and runway were periodically used as a landing strip for helicopters, including Mi-24 and Mi-26. Air terminal buildings, control room and all equipment has been dismantled, but in some areas there is still an asphalt concrete surface of the former runway. The area is being built up with apartment buildings.
