LIMC - Aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa
Important: This airport is not finished. See release info. The Malpensa airport is the largest airport of northern Italy. It's located 46 km northeast of the city of Milan. The location of today's airport played a rather important role in the history of the Italian aviation, as on May 27 in 1910 Gianni Caproni's first airplane, the Ca.1, started here. At this historic place Giovanni Agusta built prototype airplanes as well. Later Malpensa became a military airfield. Commercial flying started in 1948. The first intercontinental connection (to New York City) was established only two years later.
