Howland Island Airport

Historic HWPA airport. This now decommissioned airport was once a fertilizer farm due to the large number of sea birds. It was also the last airport that Amelia Earhart was to stop and refuel at before flying to Hawaii, then California to finish her tour around the globe. 2022 is the 65th anniversary of her fateful flight.
