Barcelos Landmarks, Portugal
The Paço dos Condes de Barcelos, also referred to as the Castle or Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, is located in the parish of Barcelos, in the city and municipality of the same name, district of Braga, in Portugal. It was built in the first half of the 15th century on the initiative of Afonso I, Duke of Braganza, constituting a palatial castle. The decay of the Palace began at the end of the 18th century.
