Perim Island OYPI

Located in the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait, Perim Island is the site of a mysterious, incomplete airfield that has been under construction since at least 2016.  In 2021 a new 1800m runway was constructed.  Although ownership of this airfield has not been conclusively established, it is widely thought to be a project of the UAE.
