2S1 – Vashon Municipal Airport
Vashon Municipal Airport is a small airport located on Vashon Island, only a few miles from downtown Seattle. It has a single grass runway which is only 2001x60ft / 610×18 m. It is open to the public however does not have any fuel services on site.
Features (1.0): – Retextured the runway grass and some roads – Custom 3D models for the hangars and airport sign – Handplaced a lot of static objects and added a windsock – Corrected the location of trees and bushes – Added parking locations – Added runway lights
Known Issues: – The runway lights are green in real life but for now I have to leave them as blue lights in the sim – There are areas where grass looks like it should be generated but it isn’t. This has to do with the sim AI detecting a road and forcing no grass to be generated. This is something that cannot be overwritten through the scenery editor unfortunately.
