Lakihegy Tower

Explore the historically significant Lakihegy Tower in Hungary, a 314-metre-high radio mast constructed in 1933. Originally built to provide broadcast coverage for Hungary, it housed a 120 kW transmitter for the radio station "Budapest I.". Despite being destroyed in World War II, the tower was rebuilt in 1946 and still stands as one of Hungarys tallest structures. Currently utilized for power-distribution control data transmission, this iconic tower serves as a protected industrial monument with a rich history.
